AITA for sharing a childhood memory after sex that my girlfriend later said was inappropriate?

AITA for sharing a childhood memory after sex that my girlfriend later said was inappropriate?

Hi everyone, this is my first post. Im not sure if this is the right place if it isnt feel free to remove it.

So...

My girlfriend of 1½ years and I had a really good day together that ended with sex. Afterwards, we stayed up in the post-sex cuddle talking for hours. The conversation flowed naturally — it went from random things like how we like our toast, to school dinners, and then to childhood memories.

I shared a bunch of stories from when I was a kid, mostly harmless “getting into trouble at school” type stuff. She laughed along with me and seemed to enjoy the conversation at the time.

One of the memories I shared was about me throwing a broken brick toward a group of girls that were bothering me at school when I was around 8 or 9 years old and getting into trouble for it (i know i was a stupid kid). It was just a story about being a stupid kid — nothing romantic, sexual, or personal. I don’t remember who the girls were, don’t know their names, and have no connection to them at all.

About four hours later, in the middle of the night, she told me that she didn’t like that particular story and felt it was inappropriate to talk about “other girls” after sex. She framed it as a jealousy-related issue.

I explained that:

  • We were all children at the time

  • Nothing happened between me and them

  • I hadn’t hit puberty and neither had they

It was just one childhood memory among many others I shared

She still insists it was inappropriate to mention other girls straight after sex, even though the story wasn’t sexual or romantic in any way.

AITA?
