Kinda urgent, should I cancel or reschedule

Hey, I am registered to take the test in January but I am hoping to take the test on April 10. There are no test dates/locations available near me atm. Is it better to just cancel my test right now and hope to find a test date closer to 4/10? Or should I reschedule to location that's pretty far away from where I am? Which is more cost effective and less risky? Thank you!
