does lack of stem courses affect admissions??

I’m doing well academically, but my course background is a little different from what I usually see people mention. I haven’t taken a ton of traditional STEM electives yet since most of my classes have been more medically focused. I’m still really interested in math and science though.. For those who know the admissions process, how much does the specific type of STEM classes matter?
