People in the US who’ve done very simple remote online tasks — what was your experience like?
I’m curious how people in the US feel about very simple remote online work — things like basic file checks, reviewing content for consistency, or straightforward QA-type tasks.
Not design, not surveys, nothing technical.
I’ve seen very mixed opinions online, and most discussions seem to be either low-quality or clearly not US-based, so I wanted to hear real experiences.
If you’ve done something similar before:
– did it feel worth your time?
– what made it feel legitimate vs sketchy?
– what kind of communication worked best for you?
I’m not hiring through Reddit and not selling anything here — just trying to understand expectations from a US perspective.
If you’d rather not comment publicly, that’s fine too.
