should i give up?

hi all, i’ve been trying to get an apprenticeship for a few years and nothing has really worked out. i know the best way to go about it is to build a relationship with a piercer you like by being a good client but piercings in my city are $70+ each and i don’t have that kind of money unfortunately. there’s also generally no counter staff positions available, i’ve seen maybe one or two openings in all the years i’ve been looking. does anybody have any ideas for other ways i could get my foot in the door, or wants to share how they got their apprenticeship? i’m starting to feel like this just isn’t gonna happen for me 🥲
