How easy to get from one hotel to another? And an A/C question

We had a lovely time at Arte a couple of weeks ago! We think we’ll be back to Xcaret again after several years.

From what I’ve read here and elsewhere I’m pretty sure Arte is more our style than Mexico. However, when we do return we’re thinking about staying in Artistas so we’ll have access to both sides of the resort, in particular being able to go to all-new (to us) restaurants.

So I’m wondering how easy (or not) it is to get around between Arte and Mexico. How far/long is it to walk between the sides? And I guess you can also take advantage of the park buses so long as you make sure the other hotel is the next stop and not the park?

I also have an A/C question. We were in Pirámide and the room would not get any cooler than 73F no matter how low the thermostat was set. It did at least wring out a lot of the humidity. Is this typical at Arte or did we have a malfunctioning unit?
