Looking to get back into trying to dm again

I'm looking to try my hand at running phandelver and below: the shattered obelisk again. I tried running it once before but the campaign sort of fell off because at the time I was struggling financially and all my mental energy was spent just trying to survive that the idea of running a game became tiresome and honestly stressful as hell not to mention I always had this mentality that if I wasn't good at something immediately then I should just quit. Since then my financial situation is stabilizing and I want to get back into running a game again. For those who have run this adventure before how did you guys start the adventure? Like how did you have your players meet? Yes I know there are suggestions in the book but I'm looking for more ideas and suggestion to give my three players. Sorry for the ramble about my situation btw 😅
