How likely is it that the Noongar people ‘stole’ the land off some other tribe?

It’s not a criticism of indigenous people as it would have been like this all across the world during that time period. But if it’s true that the land was acquired through barbaric means, aren’t we legitimising that every time we acknowledge is as Noongar land?
