Sims 2 legacy version: Tricou Family resurrection
I know this may be an old topic but I've been playing the sims 2 legacy version that EA made available via purchase. Regarding the dead downtown Tricou family and resurrecting them, it was impossible for me to resurrect Jon Smith using one of the descendants and calling the grim reaper via the resurrect-o-nomitron because the descendant did not recognize Jon Smith as a deceased family member. I used a completely different sim (it can be any sim) and cheated in the tombstone of life and death to then add in a Tricou family member.
First click on the tombstone of L and D and choose "add neighbor to family." Find one of the Tricou's. This takes patience because there is a LONG list of sims. Luckily, they have unique names so pick, for instance, Nylissit since her name is easy to spot. Once selected, IMMEDIATELY pause the game so she doesn't disappear. Using your original sim (the one you first used to "add neighbor to family") click the tombstone of L and D again and select "add family member." You should have the option to click "Nylissit." Click her name and she should become a permanent sim. From here, you can cheat in the resurrect-o-nomitron and have her resurrect all the other family members. If you want to add the rest of the family members, you will need to move them to an empty lot since the family is so big and you can only have 8 members per household.
