Need recommendation - Lost $300 on my shopping return

I recently lost $300 on my missing my leather jacket that my hubby gifted me, but it wont fit me and store wont accept my return for so called "30 day return policy". As a courtesy they are offering me $50 gift card (seriously :( ). I am looking for some shopping return apps, and came across this app called "ReturnPal - Receipt Scanner & Return Tracker" on iOS appstore. Has anyone tried it, shall I give it a try?
