Birds buddy died

I had 2 birds and one of them passed away the bird we have (duchess) has never been alone and is being quite is sitting very poofy a lot I’m just wondering should I get her a new friend and if yes how long should I wait I don’t want her to be lonely

She is eating drinking and bathing google told us to look out for that
