"He's never going to be a true Yankee until he has an outstanding postseason...not just a normal one, not just one where he's part of the team that wins - he HAS to be the star" - after the 2009 postseason, do you consider ARod a true Yankee?
The above quote is from some play by play commentator in 2006 in the Alex vs ARod docuseries
Obviously prior to 2009 and even after 2009 - ARod struggled mightily in the postseason as a Yankee
But 2009 was the year. Singlehandedly beat the Twins. Clutch against the Angels. And pivotal in the WS.
Led the Yankees in the 2009 in:
-
BA (.365)
-
HR (6)
-
RBI (18)
-
OPS (1.308)
So considering his struggles and eventual climax in 2009 and every single controversy in between and after - do you consider ARod a "true" Yankee?
