Annoying Slop Tropes - AUTHORS DO NOT DO THIS PLS

Discussion

Let's be honest, we are all tired of that one regurgitated trope that's always annoying and can be solved in way more interesting ways with the same result. Let's begin:

  1. Prophecy/Future Vision Trope : Straight slop to put annoying spoilers about some tragedy where the MC falls into some doubt spiral. OR WORSE that one character that's just yapping all the time because it knows everything about the MC by some unbreakable prophecy or something... AUTHORS YOU GOTTA STOP, IT IS NOT A GOOD READING EXPERIENCE

  2. The Clingy Male Friend: Need I say more? That one guy clinging like a glue up and down with the MC like an eternal thorn between the balls, like man please stop making clingy characters like this.

  3. The MC Glaze: Way too many novels suffer from this, we get it. The MC is cool, handsome, magnificent, a genius, yada, yada, yada. However must you say it so often? Have every mob character drool at the MC at every moment? Singing praises at every action? Please stop... It is not "aura", It is not "OMG HE IS SO COOL"... It's just annoying

  4. Meaningless Isekai Conflict: Someone needs to get rid of this accursed trope, so much isekai slop with the same formula: Identity Crisis - Whines about going back - It never works - Family confession - Some slop drama... RINSE AND REPEAT like damn, at this point I just skim thru the same regurgitated drama in countless novels. Stop man have some creativity

  5. Stupid/Dense/Whiny MC: We get it, you want some cheap character progression but since when are 18+ or grown ass men so fucking stupid and dense? It's so unrealistic that I sometimes question what life do people live to think this is the norm. It's trash, just write a normal guy why make him incredible stupid? Sit and read what you write out loud ffs

I have more tropes but these are really among the top, what tropes do you guys think fit in the criteria? That one trope that you just recoil reading it or makes you insta drop the book, drop it in the comments. We need to make authors stop writing slop
