What's the severity level of my gf? Unsure if BPD.
Hello I read a lot of tragic stories on here about cheating, lying, physical altercations, suicidal threats, addiction, etc.
But I don't see as much on the "milder" cases.
I wanted to share some things my girlfriend does and get some perspective. She is not diagnosed BPD, though her new therapist says "Fear of abandonment"
Girlfriend

Very strong fear of abandonment. Since early on in the relationships (3 months), has been making comments that I have another girlfriend, constantly scans for signs that I don't like her (which weirdly makes me have a harder time liking her).
-
Starts arguments over perceived slights. No I'm not perfect and sometimes ruffle feathers, but she will take "slights" wildly out of proportion. A small disagreement about texting will turn into a 2-3 hour argument over random things I've done or said in the past, sometimes in ways I don't remember them. Baits me by talking about stupid things for reactions. Provokes me by sometimes disagreeing with me purposely to get reactions. Often says she's joking after these, but not always.

Splits. She has had probably 10 splits over the last 10 months. One was over me "checking out the bartender" which ended the night because the rest was arguments about how I don't care about her, how I don't like her, and then her saying she was going to go to a different bar by herself (an obvious bluff). Others from small disagreements. Others from me saying something somewhat snippy, ie hiking out west I made a remark "it'd be nice if we actually had some conversation while we hiked, that's part of the reason I brought you on this trip". She snapped after that and the rest of day (4 hours or so) was ruined. She was walking ahead to get me to try and follow her or stop her, saying I don't care about her, saying "I thought we were have an amazing day and then you say that", looking at me with anger.

Insecure. Very insecure. Not to the point of like her self image, she is attractive and never seems to question that. But she's always very insecure that I'm going to leave her, that my family doesn't like her (completely made up in her head), and other signs.

More than average Moody. Sometimes in noticeably bad moods. Other times in normal moods. This has improved after me calling it out, Atleast when she's around me. Though, it's still there.

Making things up in her head. Again, like the family thing. She said she feels like a "side character" with my family. In reality, she hardly talks when around my family, and I've seen my siblings and dad all try to engage with her. They all say she's quiet. Brings up past grievances, sometimes with a skewed perception - for example she says I was walking away from her at my brother's wedding... What's weird is in my memory I recall her "walking away" from me at my brother's wedding. Also it's my brother's wedding, yes I was busy.
That said. She is high functioning. Has a good job in law enforcement. Doesn't use drugs. Doesn't hurt herself or threaten suicide. Doesn't cheat. There are also some very good times when those other times aren't there, which is obviously why I have not left yet.
What level am I at here guys? There's a lot of advice for the extreme cases, but how about these "milder" cases?
