Hi I'm new to Totalwar: Warhammer

So as the title said, i'm new to the game and i'm having a hardtime after the first battle.

I've got a few dlc but the overall problem I have is that, after the first fight and settlement occupancy, and maybe up to taking the first province, I'm lost. I don't know what to do next. who to fight, if I should stay and build an army, or should i venture forth to my next conquest? A few other factions close to me might be too strong, I dont want my lord to lose, or suffer huge casuallties in the first few turn, but if I don't expand then i don't have the money to build and get more troops.

Sometimes i just find myself wasting 6-7 turns just to build an army or to regenerate casuallties from past fight, which to me seems like i'm wasting precious turns as other factions are growing stronger.

Any tips on how i should progress the first 10-20-30 turns.
