Neurodivergent MCAT/LSAT/GRE Takers in Columbus…Help!
Why is it so hard to obtain accommodations for the MCAT (and other standardized exams) when I literally have a documented condition and received testing accommodations throughout college?
Why do I now need an evaluation, not from a doctor, NP, or PA, but from a neuropsychologist or educational psychologist who specifically specializes in ADHD, and who can meticulously fill out the accommodations form? And why are these evaluations considered educational rather than medical, meaning I’d have to pay upwards of $5,000 out of pocket?
On top of that, I’ve called the only three providers that even show up in online search results, multiple times, and haven’t heard back in weeks. Do these people not want my $5,000? Why am I begging someone to take my $5,000?
Help me, please. 😩
To all my neurodivergent MCAT/LSAT/GRE test-takers: who evaluated you under these criteria? Please tell me. I’m willing to travel out of state just to get this done. Where is everyone going?
And for those who aren’t MCAT/LSAT/GRE test-takers, do you know anyone who does these evaluations in/around the Columbus area?
Thanks in advance!
