If Will gets an epilogue boyfriend, we're all going to leave that actor alone (apparently you can't say this on r/Byler so here it is again)
Absolute W moment from the mods. How dare I insist on civilised discourse. Anyway, I repeat:
'And by leave him alone, I don't just mean don't harass him online, I also mean don't mock things like his appearance, his photos, his hobbies or interests, his family, his partner, basically anything that's about him as a person instead of him as an actor. I guess you can criticise his acting, but even then there is such a thing as excess, and you should probably try to be conscientious of whom you're actually mad at — if you are perhaps channeling frustration about the writing into criticism of the acting.
How the show is written is not his fault, and he also cannot be blamed for accepting a role in the world's biggest TV show — one they probably had a thousand backup candidates for anyway. In fact, with all the virulent homophobia directed at Noah Schnapp since the release of Volume 2 which this hypothetical actor would probably also become a target of, the last thing he needs is for the queers to add to the shitstorm. If epilogue boyfriend is where the show is headed, that actor is probably already freaking out a little after seeing what happened this week.
And for the record: even the sanctimonious showrunners and manipulative YouTubers who DO deserve scorn should still be treated with a basic level of respect, obviously. Don't harass anyone, but be kind to anyone who doesn't carry blame.
I know this is completely pointless because terminally online douchebags are gonna douchebag, but let's at least call it out when we see it happening.'
