New Years eve Traffic.

So I want to go see the Stranger Things finale (I know, it seems like most people online are hating on the show now, but I love it, and theaters are sold out everywhere for the finale episode) BUT I have a shift at work at 9am that I need to be at, so getting a hotel won't be an option. I live in northern vermont, so a trip to Boston is normally like 3 1/2 to 4 hours. The ticket I found is for a showing at 10pm. So the Finle ends at 12:30-1:00am depending on how long ads run for. I'd like to shower before work, so I need to be home by 8am. 7 hours to drive from downtown Boston to Stowe Vermont on new years eve in the middle of the night? Should I even consider attempting this?
