AITAH for kicking my dad out of my apartment at Christmas?

32m here. My dad (67m) lives in a different part of the country and divorced from my mom 20 years ago.

He returns to this region at Christmas. He used to stay at my sisters house, but he got kicked out of that situation two years ago for berating and disrespecting my sister in front of her children.

Since then he’s stayed in my apartment during Christmas, having the bedroom for himself while I move onto a living room air mattress.

I do this so he can afford to come here at all.

While he’s staying with me this week, he started using a disrespectful tone towards me and sometimes swore at me. I didn’t appreciate that so I calmly confronted him about it. He went quiet for about a day, and so I attempted to reconcile the next day. I again calmly addressed the concerns I had from the day prior and made it clear I was looking for a resolution, but he didn’t listen to me. Instead he criticized me and accused me of being in a state of rage, which I wasn’t, and that I was out of control. He then insulted me again and swore at me. I kicked him out that moment (Dec 28) as it was a 3rd strike for swearing at me.

He’s now in a hotel until he flies home tomorrow.
