LGBTQ+ wasn’t as as accepted in the 80s
Reposting stuff as they were taken down
To me it makes sense that it was rushed, I don’t think it felt rushed at all, way better than I would’ve done it. Queer people weren’t as accepted, a lot of people hid it.
I think we’re lucky that we got not only one, not only two but three queer characters in the programme and two are main character.
I think it’s wonderful that Will has come out and he deserves to find someone but I think it’s kinda ridiculous to break Mike and Eleven up just to put Will with Mike who’s not gay or hasn’t shown any signs of being gay.
He just thinks him and Will are best friends.
If you’re wondering why they aren’t making a huge fuss is because they are about to try and save the world and people could die. Some of them are not going to make it out alive. And plus I’m pretty sure he was telling everyone so Vecna couldn’t use it against him he might not have wanted to though.
I think it was perfect especially considering it was the 80s. Not many people were openly gay because as I said it wasn’t as accepted then. It’s only in recent years pride has become such a big thing
