Is it worth upgrading a 4.30 slim w/ multiMAN 4.40?

I've just pulled my old modded PS3 slim out of storage, checked what it has installed and it has firmware 4.30 with MultiMAN 4.40

I've been having a look latest installation guides, and I'm not really clear on how to upgrade from my current setup, or whether it's even worth the effort.

Would anyone mind explaining whether I should be updating to the latest mod, or whether I should just stick with my current setup?
