A couple of things to know:

1. I have never created or even updated a wiki before
2. It's going to take a long time

I've always known that a wiki option exists for subreddits but creating one is no small feat. It's going to require skills that I don't yet have, and I'm almost certain it's going to be full of formatting mistakes and other types of errors until I get better at it.

I also know this: I am autistic, a perfectionist, overly-detailed, and tend to become hyper-focused when working on creative projects to the point of extreme tunnel vision. Working on this COULD mean you may never see me again 😂 (I'm joking... maybe... probably).

If you are reading this and have experience with wikis and/or are good at graphic design, markdown editing, or have any other useful skills that could help me develop this wiki into something that doesn't look like a 1999 Yahoo Geocities website, I would gladly welcome you with open arms.

**What The Wiki Would Include:**

One of the biggest changes I will be making is transferring all the information I currently have posted at the top of my reddit profile to its own wiki page instead. Stuff like my character infographics, post directories, "About Me", etc. This type of information is *much* better suited for wiki rather than a reddit post.

Here is an incomplete list of wiki pages I would intend to create:

* An introduction to this subreddit and the Rangelverse
* Individual wiki pages containing history, lore, and character info for each Rangel
* Information about downloading my Sims from the Gallery
* Post directory and machinima directory

If you have suggestions for other types of information you'd like to see, please let me know because I don't always think of everything.

**What To Expect During Development:**

* If you currently follow my profile, expect to see a few trash posts from me on occasion.

Although I haven't even attempted to start work on a wiki yet, according to my research the formatting is not the same as when creating reddit posts. The most annoying part about it is adding images to any page where I might want to have them.

Unlike reddit posts, wiki pages do not have an option to upload images directly into them, either in an album or embedded into the page itself. Because there is no rich text editor. I can include images but I essentially have to link them from an external source, like an existing reddit post for example. I could also use Imgur and may use that site instead to avoid the need to trash post on my own profile.

But if I *do* trash post, what this means is that on occasion (seriously, it won't be frequent) I might submit a post that is ONLY designed to create image links for use on wiki pages.

* I may not post as frequently on days where my level of focus is too high.

This may actually be a relief for some people, I don't know lmao. I still fully intend to post in here every day though because it's important to the health of the subreddit to keep it active. It makes a HUGE difference to this place when other people are submitting posts too as well as upvoting and commenting. It is literally the reason why this subreddit is growing. There is no way I could carry this subreddit by myself without your contributions, so thank you.

When I feel like certain wiki pages or sections are in a relatively final and usable state, I will make another announcement. For now though I have no idea what to expect or how long it will take. It could be relatively fast or it could take forever. I guess we'll see 😂.

I'm feeling overly ambitious today and want to create a wiki for this subreddit.
