Shizu’s motives

I’m trying to write a fanfic and I’m at a point where I need to know Shizu’s motivations for tagging along with Kaval and co. Is the reason ever shared? I mean she supposedly came straight out of retirement for this. I want her personal reasons, not the relevance of her coming to Jura in relation to the story. Also, does her Sword have a name?
