Support Fortnite on SteamOS & Ubuntu Linux – Help Epic see the demand

Hi everyone,

I submitted a support ticket to Epic suggesting limited support for SteamOS (Steam Deck) and Ubuntu Linux for Fortnite (#22953951). My main points were:

Easy Anti-Cheat already supports Linux, and Proton makes it compatible.

SteamOS is a controlled, console-like environment suitable for safe play.

Steam Deck users typically buy the device for Steam games or emulation, not Fortnite, and only later consider it.

Blocking Linux forces users to dual-boot Windows or stream Fortnite, which reduces performance and the user experience.

If you’d like to see Fortnite officially supported on Steam Deck or Ubuntu, you can help by submitting your own feedback through Epic Games Support .

Every individual submission helps Epic see the demand for Linux support. Let’s show them there’s interest in making Fortnite accessible on these platforms!
