Creative Ground

NEFA, the New England Foundation for the Arts, offers a site called Creative Ground where artists can sign up with a profile and share what they do - visual art, music, dance, writing etc. I'm putting together a list of resources for Massachusetts artists and I'm wondering how useful it is to take the time to fill one of these out, considering most artists already have an IG and a portfolio website with similar info.

Does anyone have experience with Creative Ground? Has it been worthwhile? Is anyone using this to find artists to hire or for grants, commissions, and exhibits, or is it just artists adding themselves and then that's it? I can understand why the data is useful for NEFA, but it's unclear to me how much it actually helps artists, and how active it is. Any insights will be much appreciated!
