Is it okay to wear expensive shoes regularly or should I save them for specific occasions?

I don’t normally spend a lot of money on shoes but my girlfriend got me some expensive trainers for Christmas. I love them, but I feel a but weird about wearing them regularly since they’re worth so much money and I feel like I should try to keep them in good condition. Is it weird/a bad idea to wear them on regular days? it’s not like they’re dress shoes so it doesn’t make sense to wear them on formal occasions either.
