AITAH IF I TOLD MY FRIENDS I CANT ALWAYS BE THERE EMOTIONALLY

Our group chat gradually became a constant outlet for everyone’s issues. Each day, someone was struggling, and if I didn’t respond quickly enough, I felt guilty. Whenever I tried to offer support, I was told I was doing it incorrectly, and if I remained silent, I was accused of being indifferent. After a rough exam day, one friend sent a lengthy voice note expressing feelings of abandonment from everyone, and I finally mentioned that I didn’t have the mental capacity to engage at that moment. That single message changed everything. Folks started labeling me as selfish and two-faced, insisting that friends should always be present, no matter the circumstances. I ended up leaving the group chat, and now I'm seeing subtle digs online about checking in on friends, plus people are acting distant towards me in person. The truth is, I don't feel like a bad person; I just feel worn out and strangely more at ease. So, I'm unsure if I'm genuinely unfeeling for prioritizing my own well-being, or if we've simply begun treating our friends like free, live-in therapists. Regardless, everyone seems to have a take, and none of them align.
