Is there any way to make it play better?

I think I might just suck absolute balls but this game really sucks. I expected it to be like a modern game, like with sprint, while it’s more of an inconvenience than anything I don’t like it. There’s also just features that are downright dumb. For example, if I want to use a knife on someone I have to be right in front and looking in an exact direction of them. I don’t know how to describe it but it’s very very frustrating. Also when you try to grab someone they turn around to you can’t grab them. I’m not sure if I just suck but is there a mod where I can make it more modern or make it just more fun to play idk. Maybe I just suck
