Please help me!!!

So yesterday I tried to use my AirPod maxs and for some reason they won’t work! No sound or anything whatsoever. My phone still shows as them pair but they don’t make a noise to say they are on. They just pair to my phone without any sound whatsoever?

It’s been over a day and I cannot find a way to fix this and I’ll be pretty upset if they are broken as I haven’t even had them for 2 years!
