If you were given 12 episodes of Doctor Who, what would you do with them and who would you cast?

Discussion

If given 12 episodes of Doctor Who, what would you do with it? Who would you cast as the Doctor and companion?

I'd have 2 Seasons of 5 episodes each and 2 Christmas Specials

For casting I'd go with Iwan Rheon as the Doctor and bring back Alice Hewkin as the companion. She previous played a Character in Season 8, but this Character would be completely unrelated.

I'd imagine it starts with Piper's Doctor regenerating into Rheon's Doctor at the end of the next Christmas special.

The first five episodes would be serialized like The Flux and Children of Earth. I'd keep costs down by having it set only in Scotland, but in different time periods.

The Main Villain would be in the past, portraying Morgan Le Fey, and opening a kind of Pandora's Box to what she calls "a failed timeline". It would be one where Scottish Myths and Creatures come to life and destroy basically all of Humanity.

The companion would be a Women who was in some kind of accident and lost all of her memories, she doesn't know who she is. Throughout the 5 episodes her Arc would be wanting to find out who she is to then, travelling with the Doctor end up defeating the Main villain by a device that gives up her chance to get her memories back.

The Main Villain would be a Time Lady called Sartia - who was a one off villain in an Audio only. In that she gained an artifact which let her see into different Universes and she wanted to be Queen. She was stopped by The Doctor and got away using a Time Ring.

This would take place just after that where she wasn't involved in the Time War because she Time Travelled and hunted down the Pandora's Box device and become Queen by any means.

At the end of the Season the companion resolves to live her life and not dwell on her past, and ask out a friend of hers, who found her wandering the street without her memory after the accident

Then the first Christmas Special, would introduce the guy who the Companion has started dating and the three of them have an adventure

The second Season wouldn't be serialized, but more of a monster of the week with a plot thread running through every episode until the 2 part finale

It would start with the first episode "Shield of the Daleks" where The Doctor, Companion and her BF travel to a Space Station in the Future. There they meet an injured Dalek who asks The Doctor for help - this Dalek was accidently thrown forward in Time to now and is being hunted by an Alien. The Space Station is lived in by survivors from a Planet who were mostly wiped out by the Daleks, so the team have to make peace with them as well. The Dalek would be a younger Dalek Caan and after saving the day The Doctor would drop Caan off back to his own time - just before the Time War, and The Doctor knows what horror comes next for Caan.

The next two episodes would see the return of Classic Who Villains The Axons and The Rutans

Then it would be a two part finale, set in The Gamma Forrest where an evil AI has taken over and the team have to help an Insurgancy against it to save the people. At the end the Companion would defeat the Villain but the Machine she uses would wipe all of her memories, she chooses to do it anyway and they save the day.

It would be revealed that she's stuck in a Time Loop as the Doctor drops her off as her memories fade as she leaves the TARDIS, looking like she was in an accident (bloody nose, muddy clothes, unshevelled hair). Her BF is angry at The Doctor as The Doctor drops him off at his Time - a few years later and then flies off to end the Season

The BF could return in like 2 Seasons as 1 off filler villain

The second Christmas special would be the Doctor going back in Time to inbetween The last Christmas Special and the start of Season 2. The companion and her BF would act like before they had their S2 Character Arcs. The Doctor would pick up the companion and her BF and have an adventure. He'd have to end up saving the day but basically dying in the process. He'd tell the Companion and BF he's fine due to his Time Lord physiology, and we see him glow slightly. After he drops them off and vows to see them again, he regenerates in the TARDIS to the next Doctor

Anyway that was just some stuff I was thinking about, how about you guys? What would you do?
