Looking for a Job

I live in NYC and I am graduating nursing school in May when would be a good time to apply for jobs? I've been applying recently around this month I'm not sure if it's too early or if I should wait until I pass the NCLEX or a few months before I graduate I also heard from others that prev graduated that it took them a while to find a nursing job and I don't want to be stuck jobless 😭
