Coping with losing my fathers land

Hi everyone. I’m hoping I could get some serious advice.

My father died about 6 months ago. While I’m not over it I’m doing a lot, lot better. He didn’t have many assets and what he did have was already in mine & my sisters name. For background, we grew up in a same town on about 44 acres of land. I have realized selling it could benefit my life for the better, meaning go back to school and really make something of myself. While the money is great, I’m having trouble listing it and selling to someone random. The land is very important to me. It’s my childhood home and holds infinite number of good memories. What makes it worse is that my gma just died and we got rid of her house too. Which was a house I’ve wanted to own my entire life and was absolutely devastated it had to sell. For reference I did have a buyer I knew lined up for it but it’s more than likely not going to work out. Back home is a close knit town and selling to someone random truly is off putting.

I don’t know how to cope with getting rid of my childhood home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
