How Do I Explain The Harmfulness Of AI To My Mom?

I don't know if this is the right subreddit for this, but it seems like the best place to post this.

My mom has been using and supporting AI for a while. She knows I hate it, so she doesn't interact with it as much around me. I am an artist and a writer. She has heard me describe AI as a plague and worse multiple times. Recently she made a comment that's really been bothering me.

To paraphrase, "If you have a problem with AI then you need to have a problem with other artists and writers too. It's the same thing."

Then she started explaining how people who use AI to create stories or pictures are the same as artists like me or any digital artists. It's just another medium of art, she said.

I don't know how to tell her the difference in a way that'll make her understand how bad that mindset is for the art community right now.

Any advice?
