Scrolling community feed on my bird feeder app is new tiktok for me.

Discussion

I’ll open coolfly app intending to check one clip and end up scrolling through short videos of birds from all over the world. Different feeders, different backyards, completely different species. One moment it’s something familiar, the next it’s a bird from another continent with colors and behavior I’ve never seen before.

What makes it addictive in a good way is how low-effort it feels. No loud trends, no algorithms pushing urgency. Just a steady stream of real moments people captured at their feeders. I’ll notice patterns, compare species, or just watch how long certain birds stick around.

It’s oddly calming, and way easier to get lost in than I expected. It feels like the opposite of doom scrolling, instead of stress or noise, I’m connecting with nature and picking up small details about birds I’d never seen before, their behaviors, how they move, how they interact. I didn’t really plan on learning anything, but it keeps happening anyway, and I’m kind of loving it. Please tell me that I am not being obsessive here.

I'm thinking of downloading more applications that show bird feeders from community.

Which app do you use?
