Clindamycin while purging

I started Accutane a month ago and was first prescribed 20mg twice a day. I noticed that my skin was purging a lot a getting much worse than it was when i started Accutane.

When I had my one month check in with my dermatologist, he upped my dose to 30mg twice a day and prescribed me clindamycin lotion 1% to use on top of that. Ive seen other people talking about how their dermatologist lowered their dosage if they were purging, so I was surprised at my derm’s course of action.

I haven’t ever heard of anyone else using clindamycin while on Accutane, so I was wondering if anyone else went through a similar treatment while purging? Also, what was your experience like if you did?
