Anyone else see the terrible AI ballet video posted earlier today?

I saw it on instagram, some lame message about dancing in the clouds above NYC. The “ballerinas” had the grotesque limbs typical of AI slop. I had to look twice to make sure it was actually Sezane and not the modelsdoingballet account.

It had been up about 40 minutes when I saw it and the over 100 comments were entirely negative. Criticizing the use of AI over real artists, the environmental impact of using AI, and the general cheapness of the post. Many people stating they were unfollowing and no longer buying. By the time I read through the comments the post was down.

It was such a terrible display of brand incoherence by their social media team. Tacky and exploitative; exactly what Sezane’s customers attempt to avoid by buying quality materials instead of Shein.

Combine this with today’s announcement of higher prices, recent decrease in cut/quality, the (long time) terrible posing of products, among other complaints heard here and Sezane seems to be heading in the direction of J. Crew when their quality plummeted and so eventually did their sales.
