I have run an ai Muay Thai personal trainer experiment on my body over the past year and got some very interesting results:

For context, I have only been back in the sport for roughly one year and was average fitness with little to no time spent in the gym before this journey. Upon joining my gym, I wanted to supplement my Muay Thai training days with strength and conditioning at a standard weightlifting/cardio gym. My goal with my S&C was not to 'get big' or 'lose fat', but to optimize my body for the sport. To do so, I outlined my goals to ChatGPT and asked them to make me a S&C workout plan and schedule so that I was spending 3 days of Muay Thai training and 4 days of Muay Thai functional focused S&C.

I followed the regimine as close as humanly possible, asking ChatGPT for replacement workouts if my gym didn't have the equipment for specific lifts. I rarely did workouts outside of the outlined plan and kept consistent for the better part of 2025. Yesterday, I uploaded a physique selfie into ChatGPT and asked it to analyze my fitness against different athletic benchmarks and to have it determine which sport my body is best designed for.

Interestingly, the top result was combat sports and specifically Muay Thai. The analysis gave it a 5-star accuracy, compared to other sports (like bodybuilding 2-stars & distance running/cycling 3-stars). I have since taken this data and asked it to analyze my physique and results to find weaknesses and how it could affect me in fights, what areas of my fitness to improve to get better results in my fights, etc...

Obviously, this all likely pales in comparison to what a hands-on personal trainer/coach could accomplish - but at the cost of FREE dollars, I was actually quite impressed. Curious to hear anyone else's experience with using ai for the sport and your thoughts on the experiment in general.
