artist co op / living space

hello, i am looking for people that have art community connections in the bay area to any one that known anything about artist co op studios and living spaces. I want to move into an artist co op and live, work, eat with young, friendly, like minded individuals who share a passion and career in art. not sure if things like this exist any more.
