Need a reliable salon for short, curly, alternative cuts

Hi! Looking for hair salon recs. I know this sub has a ton, but I’m specifically trying to find a place that compares to Blackroom.

I have grown-out, medium-length curly hair and prefer more alternative cuts (no color). I’ve been to a couple curl-specialist salons and the stylists were great, but a lot of “curly cuts” feel super cookie-cutter and never really suit me.

I found Blackroom, loved their work (especially how they style my curls), and for the first time ever actually loved my haircut. The only problem is they’re always booked months out, and I really need a trim sooner.

Has anyone who goes to Blackroom found another salon that matches their quality?
