Parents, what’s the one thing they said to you that you could never imagine saying to your own kids?

I looked like my mums dad and youngest sister. One thing she’d always say to me is you look like Auntie X but you are no where near as pretty as her. It hit me how much my looks were torn down this Christmas when my cousin said “everyone said you were ugly but I always said you were pretty”. She said that Christmas Eve and I’ve been running it through my head since. My esteem used to be so low and I thought I was so ugly as a kid and young adult
