So far every fight in APOC has ended with the wind-up for the final clash, then cutting to audience reaction shots, then back to the fight post final hit.

I get the dramatic effect of doing it this way, but ROR at least setup the fights to end that way outside of just "cool factor." Round 2 you aren't supposed to know what the final punch is and are supposed to be duped into thinking Adam won. Round 4 works to Jack's conniving character that his sneak attack could evade even the proverbial camera. Even round 5 to a degree follows this. You see the final clash in all its gory glory, but the actual final hit is something personal to Shiva with him acknowledging Raiden as an equal. It isn't meant to be glorified so it isn't given focus.

APOC over does it by seemingly just doing it for the sake of it. Like this last round with both fighters about to clash, cutting away, and then cutting back to Nezha exploded and Morrigan without an arm. Why did she lose an arm? Well, because its the final clash of course! But why specifically? What part of that final clash resulted in a straight cut at that exact part of her arm? I don't know because they don't show anything. Its pure "rule of cool" without any substance.

Plus there's also the art standpoint of how memorable the gore can be in ROR. Lu Bu having half his head rendered to mush, Apollo punching through Leo's shield and body in one swing, or Loki having his brain funnelled through a point in the back of his head; great impactful moments to cap off a fight in a memorable way. Its a shame too because I think Zhuque might have the gnarliest injury in the series, but is mired by not being able to see it happen. Just a start and end with no middle.

Random nitpick I have for APOC: They never actually show the final hit.
