Screwed up the introduction to the cat, what can I do now?

We just recently got a rehomed beautiful field golden retriever. He's about 13 months old. I had a dog prior to this who got along great with the cats. I (wrongly) assumed this very hyperactive golden would naturally assimilate with the cat, they had an okay interaction at first, only for the cat to come downstairs later zooming around and the dog staeted chasing him 😭. The cat is hiding under the bed upstairs now. (The dog is currently blocked off from accessing the upstairs at all)

I know I blew it on the introduction, but is it still possible to fix this so everyone gets along?
