Anxiety after breakup
sorry in advance about how scattered this text is. I am struggling. a lot. and I can’t organise my thoughts.
I am 27 (f) and this is my first relationship and break up. Our relationship lasted for 4 years, I was heavily invested in this guy and things ended really unfairly for me. he was the dumper btw.
we broke up 7 months ago but because of circumstances (mainly him not wanting to leave the house) we continued living together for another 5 months. after he moved out, for the next two months he spent about half the time (1 month) back at our home - a few days here and there, once stayed for a whole week.
I decided to go no contact, lasted for 2 weeks. he kept texting every couple of days and I gave in. he last texted me to spend new years together which I find a really bad idea as it won’t benefit - only undo the progress I made. and I ended up blocking him.
He insists on not removing his name from our tenancy contract even though he moved out. he also has a car which we shared and for some reason he is adamant on not removing my name from the insurance - I told him multiple times in order for him to to pay less. no reason to pay for me since I’m not using the car anymore. the furniture in our house is also his, and he refuses to take it. I just feel like he wants to keep ties even though he left me which causes me a lot of confusion.
my issue is, no matter how occupied I try to keep myself, I can’t stop thinking about him and I can’t stop feeling anxious to the point I am constantly nauseous. I can’t keep feeling this anxiety and I’m here to honestly get any ideas you guys might have. is it just a matter of time? I work a lot, study, go for walks, go out with one friend I have, watch movies etc but nothing helps. I think of him while I do all those things and I am insanely anxious.
I am also in therapy but that doesn’t seem to help either - yes my therapist is good and I do like her.
