What am I missing with the dribbling?

I’ve maxed out a magician and I find some times there is serious delays on the movement. My player leaving the ball behind (this can be on maxed out dribbling).

In some games you see a lvl 20 spinning no problem but I’ve never had a game like that so I wonder is it stat, connection or a hardware issue with console.

If I’m not dribbling correctly, direct me to something that will help because I don’t know what the issue is.
