Should i post unrelated content?

I have recently hit 1000 subscribers and have 3 videos which have done well hitting 40k views on 2 and 1000 on one video. i am working on another video and i don't know if i should keep making the same things that i know people subscribed for or make videos that i want to make. I feel like i have trapped myself in a bubble with content that is far to specific to move away from (i make videos based around historical topics and anime however another one of my videos was no where related to that but was on a niche youtube animation)
