Mistake buying cellular ipad air?

I want to ask if I did a mistake buying cellular version of ipad air m2 512gb 13 inch to save 200 usd/18k inr than buying m3. Only cellular model was available in stock clearance and I bought it to save money. Now after using it I remembered how my iphone 11 baseband failed 3 years ago and it was a paperweight as I resetted it unknowingly and it was never activated. Then I got to know same issues from reddit happening with ipad cellular models. I can't afford apple care as I already streched my budget. Does this is a valid concern of mine or am I overthinking?
