Passed the exam, is the actual certificate worth it?
Howdie!
I passed the CISSP certification exam with 100 questions in 135 min ๐ I prepped for 4 months (Destination certification book, Quantum Exams and Youtube for the CISSP mindset videos).
I wanted the certificate because I'm a freelance Security Engineer and thought it was a nice test of my knowledge. I certainly learned a lot, but now I get to the certification process and got some doubts:
- I need to proof my experience, but the only documents I have fall under NDA. So this seems like an exam question: do you upload it, knowing it falls under NDA and GDPR requirements to an American server? The best proof of my career are contracts, but they contain too much sensitive information
- When I have proven it, I need to pay annual fees of 125$ ?
- Honestly ISC2 as a website doesn't fit me well: the payment process was full of bugs, the support was terrible,...
So am I crazy to drop the certificate pursue? Are there any other benefits of the certification, knowing that for me it is not really a career requirement?
