Advice on studies?
Hello, I don't really use reddit, but I thought "I need advice so why not ask random people online", so I hope I do this right. I'm 18 and in the last year of my school, basically I'm pressured by everyone and everything to know what to do with my life. Problem is, I genuinely have no idea what to study (I must study something, because it's what my parents want and I do too), I have no direction on who I want to be or what to do in life. I'm like the most mid person ever, I'm not talented at anything and I struggle myself to commit to anything. I've tried art and music (even graduated a music school), but I made no progress for multiple years so I figured enough is enough. In school I'm currently learning biology, geography, English, German (I'm in the progress of getting a language certificate for both, but my English is completely fluent and German will be either B2 or C1) , my mother tongue and math. My grades are just okay (in the range of 7-9 (1worst 10best)) and no subject is particularly attractive to me. I decided I want to study abroad, because the education system in my own country is not that good and I went to a boarding school in Denmark in 10th grade and liked the education system and the country as a whole. As for my personality, I'm very adaptable and I always try to do my best, though I am also kind of lazy, I love debating and learning, I'm also good with people, and generally likable, though I can be a lot more shy if I don't resonate with them, or if the opposite, then I'm very good with convincing others, I also try to stand my ground and always consider the possibilities and consequences before my actions so I'm not a rash person. TBH I'm mostly an empty shell with people and how I act around them heavily depends on their own actions and personality.
An important note is that I don't want to be a burden to my parents, that's why I'm looking mostly at countries in EU that have free education.
The topic of my future and huge change really stresses me out, because I know I have to move on, but in the past year I've gotten really attached to my family and my dog, so even though I definitely want to study abroad. The thought of coming back to see my dog old and having little time with him or something bad happening to my family scares me the most. I already struggle with coming to terms that I'm an adult and soon enough I will lose more than I ever will come to terms with Honestly, this whole topic keeps me up every single night. ATP I think I'll just pick something random to make everyone happy lol.
