A question for NE teenagers...
As a North Indian living in Mumbai, it genuinely enrages me that Northeastern people are still treated as “not Indian.” Mfs casually throw slurs at you, mock your faces, your accents, your food—like it’s normal. And people wonder why this country is a joke.
At this point, being Chinese is honestly better than being Indian. At least you won’t get lynched, mocked, or killed just for looking “Asian.” Don’t tell me this is exaggerated—how many more deaths do you need before you stop pretending it’s not racism?
The fact that the term “mainland” even exists says everything. It’s proof that most Indians subconsciously (or openly) see the Northeast as foreign territory. You’re exotic when it’s convenient, invisible when it’s not, and disposable when shit goes wrong.
A fellow brother died—for what? For having a face that doesn’t fit North Indian standards? These mfs aren’t ignorant; they’re insecure and jealous. They fetishise Northeastern women, degrade Northeastern men, and then cry nationalism the moment they’re called out.
People in the so-called mainland have never changed, and they will not change. Mockery, racial slurs, sexualisation—it’s a cycle. And yet Northeastern people still fight so hard to be recognised as Indian. Why? What has India actually done in return besides neglect, discrimination, and violence?
At this point, demanding dignity from India feels like begging your abuser to suddenly grow a conscience.
wake up you guys (yes i used chat gpt to correct my grammar as im just a random 17 yo loser bloke , but this doesnt invalidate the point im making)
