Hi! I'm fully new to witchcraft and magic and am seeking to learn as much as I can!

Hi y'all! I'm Barbara (Barb is fine) and I'm brand new to all things witchcraft and occult. I come from an extremely sheltered background and my parents were very devoted and awfully overbearing with their faith, pushing its beliefs onto me a LOT despite my wishes and personal beliefs (I will not mention what religion it is for personal reasons) and so I have not been able to learn much about spirituality and spiritual practices outside of that background. I've also struggled a lot with reopening this part of my life due to the religious trauma i have, and so im wanting to be extremely cautious and learn as much as i can before experimenting with any path.

witches and witchcraft have always been extra interesting and fascinating to me, despite not having the chance to really learn about them. I have always had like a sort of inner pull towards it all, but i genuinely have no clue where to start. my concepts of how spirituality works and """should be""" are so warped and sheltered and i feel helpless and stuck without knowing where to start or how to come to understand what being a witch truly is, so ive come here to learn as much as i possibly can on my exploration journey ^-^

i would genuinely love to hear about your experiences and beliefs and as much info as is comfortable for y'all to share, especially regarding the basics and early witch life if possible, i am extremely curious and super duper open minded! ill try to reply to everyone to the best of my ability but i might not be able to, sorry if i dont respond, but i will be reading every comment this post gets :3
